Iowa is a right to work state and you can be terminated for any reason good reason or no reason at all unless you have a contract of employment, are subject to a collective bargaining agreement, or are a member of a suspect class and can prove that their action was wrongfully motivated in terminating you or reassigning you. Take that as your watchword. There's no such thing as smokers rights.
