Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
My fiancee and I are looking to get married in Iowa since gay marriage is legal there. We want to combine our last names. We were wondering if we put our last names on the license and get out last names changed will that void the marriage license?

There is a residency requirement for a name change. Unless you're willing to take up residency for a year or so, you won't be able to do it.
