Can a minor be charged with drinking at a party by hearsay evidence?

Hearsay evidence is not admissible in the trial of a criminal matter. Hearsay evidence is testifying as to what someone else said, when that person is not present in court to be cross examined. If that is all there was, the case must be dismissed.
