Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
self incrimination
My daughter was arrested in small town Iowa for several charges, the first being public intoxication they get worse after that. My question is Can a judge order her to write a letter of apology to the sherrifs and jailers even after her bond has been posted, If letter is not written he refused to let her out. Would'nt that be self incrimination, being as she maintains her innocence?

Re: self incrimination
probably, but if she did more than say "i behaved badly" the cat may be out of the bag. i suggest hiring an attorney to assess the damage soon.
