Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
I need to get out of my lease with my apartment. Is his possible? I recently moved here due to a job offer. Found an apartment, signed lease. A week after all this, I find out the job is falling through but I already signed a lease. Moved anyways to try to make it work and find a new job because I didn't think I could back out of the lease. They said I couldn't. Took me a couple months to find a job, way behind in rent so they are now wanting to evict me and not work with me on payments. Also, during all this, my boyfriend and I have broken up so I only have my income and can not afford the place. Please help

Unfortunately you will have to either break the lease, get some money to get current on your rent or find some other person to assume it who is acceptable to the landlord. If you break the lease you will likely lose your deposit. On the other hand the landlord will have to go through a bit of trouble to evict you and you can save them the trouble by moving out. That may be the best way to approach your problem.
