Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
A light pole fell on my truck and totaled it while I was at work. The company who owns the building admitted they were at fault and turned it in to their insurance carrier. I bought the truck 4 months ago for $6000.00. They are telling me since it was a prior salvage title they did a valuation and it is only worth $4200.00. I feel like I am being cheated and bullied around. Am I obligated to accept their offer?

They're only going to pay you book value and a salvage title knocks it down quite a bit. You don't have to accept their offer but your remedy is to sue them.
