my mom died when i was 12yrs old then my grandpa died 8yrs later my grandma called asked to sign a check i did not sign it and now about 20yrs later my grandma died my question is do i have any rights with my grandmas stuff

No. You're not an heir and unless there was a will and she left you something in it you have no rights in her estate.
