Is there anything a person can to to protect themselfs agains someone hacking into your computer and stealing your account and changing the information. Also causing disrupshion in your life. Is this a crimanal act and can i press charges.

You don't get to press charges-only the county attorney does, after the police have investigated. Depending on what was done it can be a serious offense but I think unless you can prove who did what to what and when it happened, the chances of getting someone prosecuted for this sort of offense is minimal-which is why identity theft is so popular these days.
