Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
Recently our telephone company lost our payment and are saying it's our fault. They are telling us we need to reissue another check to them and that we have to pay the reconnect fees. Are we resposible for them losing our payment and for reissuing another check? Are we resposible for paying the reconnect fees?
P.S. I'm not sure what law it's under.

You're saying they lost it, and it could have been that the post office lost it. Or the neighbor took it out of the mailbox. You could sue them in small claims court but proving what you're saying is difficult.
