Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Iowa
I rehomed a dog on Craigslist to a couple for $150. I ended up finding out they are trying to sell the dog only after having him for maybe 2 months and selling him for $750. I called them out on it and even offered to take the dog back if they couldn't handle him.. They said I could pay the $750 to get him back. I obviously am not paying that. Now a couple days later he is threating to sue us for the medical bills of the dog because we didn't tell them of the medical condition he has.. When the dog was in my care he saw a vet regularly and the medical condition never came up. Can they really sue us? And will they win?

Can they sue you? Yes. Will they win? If your story is accurate probably not.
