Tenant rights
i moved in with my girlfriend and we were told to find a new place to live by our land lord so we did and now she want to sue me and my girlfriend for rent and damages we gave her a $400.00 deposit to cover anything like rent we were there 11 days into the month we never signed any kind of rental agreement with this lady and i only lived there for 4 months and any dammages that were there were there before i got there my girlfriend had other roommates before i moved in what can i do...??

It is possible that she is just trying to get something from you and wont go further than the attempt. If, however, she does bring an action for rent and damages, you'll have to fight it and tell the judge just what you said here. IF you have some evidence to back up what you're saying present that as well.
