Telemarketing Laws in Iowa for

I need information in reguards to useing a computer to make "cold call" solicitations.

Is there any restriction in the use of Automatic dialing and announcing devices for the state of Iowa.

I would use this computer to contact new and existing clients.

As a lawyer, I can tell you that automated cold calls are illegal anywhere in the United States, by federal law:

40 USC 227 says

It shall be unlawful for any person within the

United States-

(B) to initiate any telephone call to any residential

telephone line using an artificial or prerecorded voice to

deliver a message without the prior express consent of the

called party

This same law also makes unsolicited fax advertisements illegal. You can be sued for a $500 penalty for each violation.
