Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Iowa
Are police allowed to set up random drug searches? I was driving home tonight, and I noticed 3 signs ahead: "Be prepared to stop," "Vehicular drug searches ahead," and "All vehicles subject to search." Is that constitutional or even legal if they have no other reason to pull you over?

Here's the play. The answer is probably not. What happens is that it's a ruse to get you to pull off the highway and dump your stash, preferably into a trashcan that has a camera watching it. Then, they've got you.
