Legal Question in Construction Law in Iowa
Can a lien be placed against a public charity rated under 509 (a) (2)? A roofer feels he wants more money from the contractor upon job completion having agreed to a lower price prior to starting work and is planning on liening the charity. The building was a P.O.W. recreation hall.

Of course he can. Charities are as liable as anyone else if they don't pay their debts.
