Legal Question in Consumer Law in Iowa
auto dealership lied about condition of automobile
I bought a salvage titled vehicle from an auto dealership with the knowledge of where the vehicle had been hit and repaired. The vehicle had a 30 day warranty. After a year and a half I experienced problems with the vehicle. When I had the vehicle checked out there was a big problem. I had to have the transmission and engine replaced because the auto dealership didn't fix the vehicle right and it caused my problem. My question is can I legally confront the dealership and see if they would pay part of the bill since they initially didn't fix the problem before I bought the car or am I just out of luck?

If there was active fraud or misrepresentation you may have the right of rescission. I would want to review any documents or agreements you signed or were provided at the time of purchase.
