Legal Question in Consumer Law in Iowa
car dealer made mistake on purchase agreement
32 days ago we signed a purchase agreement for a 2005 Tahoe and traded in a vehicle that had a 22,000 dollar balance and they gave 12,000 for trade. We signed the paperwork and they did too. today they called and said there was an amount of $14,000 that needed to be paid in order for them to get the title to our old vehicle or retract the deal and give the truck back. This was their mistake. Can they legally do this? Or is it too late to take back their loss. In the state of Iowa is there a certain amount of time they have to realize they made a mistake?
