Legal Question in Consumer Law in Iowa
I hired someone to do some landscaping
I hired a man to plant several trees. He gave me an estimate and then requested the money in advance so he could purchase the materials. The work was never done. It was scheduled in October. I have asked him every month. He has $3000. of my money and now will not answer his phone. What can I do? Thanks

You might want to have an attorney send a Demand Letter with short deadline to begin litigation or pull his license if non-payment continues.
