Legal Question in Consumer Law in Iowa
I've gone to a recording studio, spent several hrs/$ on a recording. Have differences with owner and want to finish project elsewhere. Have asked him to send the master to another studio. He is holding and won't release, yet I have paid for it. How can I get my master?

If the guy won't release the master and there's no agreement to the contrary, you can sue him in small claims court unless the amount in question is over five thousand dollars. I suggest hiring an attorney to send him a nastygram. That often proves useful.
