Legal Question in Consumer Law in Iowa

I sold an ATV, it came back next day with blown engine.

I sold a used atv.It came back with blown engine, the next day.The buyer does not feel any responsibilty. There is obviuos other damage to machine. They refused to pay for anything. This was sold on consignment through dealer. The buyer signed purchase agreement ''AS IS''.I offered good will of donating labor and 25% parts to rebuild, they refused, threatning to sue me and dealer that assisted in sale. I reluctantly agreed to accept machine back to have it in my possesion, and refund their card. This machine was purchased on a ''credit card'', I was concerned they would cancel transaction on card and I would have no money/no machine.

I have been told by others there is no ''Lemon Law'' or the like on off-road/race machines.Do I have the right to go after damages that occured while it was in the ''buyers'' possesion. If so as I encure legal expenses and it is found to be in my favor, can I expect to get legal fees reimbursed from ''buyer''.

Need to see Purchase Agreement. How much for repair total? (BLown engine etc.)

Was there no oil in it? Abuse evident?
