Legal Question in Consumer Law in Iowa
My wife and I purchased an SUV from some friends in the amount of 10k. We signed a contract and have made all the monthly payments. Yes we bought it on contract. We paid it off and the sellers signed over the title. Now they are taking us to court saying we owe them 4720.00 for the vehicle. Because of being "friends" they never gave us receipts at all. They have printed off some phony payment schedule off of Excel. What can we do? Should we just give the vehicle back?
