Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

Billed for service over year old...

I had work on my car done at a machanic over a year ago on my privious car. I just now recieved the bill from them for the service. The bill has no date or description of the fix written on the bill.

Do i have to pay this since it is over a year old? (close to 1.5 years)

In a word, "Yes!" The Statute of Limitations for an oral contract is 4 years, although they probably have a written contract which allows them 5 years to sue.
