Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

Billing Time Limit

I had a new roof put on over the summer, and I haven't received a bill for it. The contractor hasn't contacted me at all. How long do they have to bill me before I am no longer required to pay it?

Ten years if there was a writing of any kind. Why don't you give them a call? Maybe they forgot or the bill got lost in the mail. If they did the work, you are legally (and morally) obligated to pay them.
