breaking of lease

we had 3 mos. left on lease. my husband made me move out at gun point and he was going to keep apt.; however, next day he committed suicide. Am I still responsible for fees due to breaking of lease?

I should look at the Lease to advise you, but if it is standard "joint and several" lease, then yes, you would be "liable". However, given the circumstances, I would make a case to the LL that you should be released from obligation.

Is there a police report or Death Certificate? I would do a letter to LL making the case for a waiver, perhaps if you pay fees for placing an ad or a sign to re-rent space.
