Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

I was contacted by a company that I have a loan through, I am 2 weeks late on my payment and explained to the representative that I am going through the bankruptcy process. She was incredibly derogatory and rude and informed me that I was a thief and am stealing from the company. They have also contacted my place of work and family members divulging that I owe money on this loan. Is this harrassment?

If you can prove she did say that then that company is in violation of the federal debt collection act and you can sue. See a lawyer.
