Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

Contested a debt

I received a letter from a law firm demanding payment for debt that I allegedly owed. I was given the opportunity to contest the debt which I did in writing immediately.

That was over two months ago. I have not heard anything since. It would seem to me that if proof that I owed this debt was available, it would have been sent to me as I requested.

What should I do at this point?, if anything.

Thank you
