Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa
I was divorced 2 years ago. My ex received 2 vehicles in my name. She has let both vehicles go back to the bank. One of the vehicles has been auctioned off and a collection agency is calling me for the remaining balance. I was released from all ownership of both vehicles. How do I get the vehicles transferred to her name?

If your name is still on the vehicle title, you're legally on the hook. The problem you have here is that you may have ignored all the hateful mail from the finance company because you thought you were off the hook. Getting that backed up when the matter's already gone to repossession and auction may be a problem. I suggest you contact an attorney in your area to see if this matter can be resolved.
