Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

I use my friends address for billing and the electric company to trying to add my old bill to his?? that cannot possible be legal, I currently am just staying with my friends and so do not have a address this is the reason that I use his address for mail!

You seem to have the answer already. It sounds like you're trying to avoid having an account that the electric company can collect on. Otherwise, if you're merely staying with a friend, why would you need a mailing address different from your own for a utility account?
