Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

My husband was served papers for an old hospital bill from 2006... I called this morning to try to set up another payment plan...they want 30% before they will set up a plan..no way i can do this....If this judgement is left unpaid what can the creditor do?

They can garnish your wages and seize your bank account is what they can do. If you own a house there will be a lien on it once judgment is entered.
