Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa
Judgement By Agreement
I have a default on student loans and the attorney for the plaintiff has offered me to sign a Judgement By Agreement. This would prevent me from going to court. Is this type of Judgement the same as one obtained in court? Will it give the plaintiff the same powers, as far as garnishments and liens, as a Judgement obtained in court? Thank you for your time and response.
