Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa
If a loan company has not claimed a debt as default, can they still disclose the reason they are calling to third parties? For example, telling a third party they are calling concerning my car, loan or credit card. I read a similar question on here that states until they claim the debt as default, they are not subject to the collection laws. However, this seems to be more of a violation of privacy.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by claimed debt as default. Please clarify.
