Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

I'm retired and draw SS and a pension, I have a CC company that has recently filed and won a judgment against me. I have since got a letter from the CC lawyer saying that they will garnishment of my wages or bank accounts.

Can this be legal for them to do this since the CC with no collateral just a signature

You can relax, because social security and pension money cannot be garnished in the state of Iowa. I would have a little chat with your banker, because those folks 1) aren't aware of this and b) are on the side of the creditors. Change the name of your account to "The Garnishment Exempt Pension and Social Security Account of __________".
