A class B felony is punishable by up to 25 years imprisonment in the state of Iowa. If a person is convicted on two separate charges and the sentences are run consecutively the potential is for up to 50 years imprisonment. Whether there is a minimum time to be served will depend on the type and quantity of the drug in question as well as whether weapons were involved.
