Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
5th ged theft...i was just released from a buisness where i was buying multiple items and put a drill bit in one pocket and some nuts and bolts in the other so i wouldnt drop em while i was carrying multiple pieces of metal tubing... i pulled the bolts out and paid for them and the rest of my merchandise but forgot about the drill bit... i was confronted by loss prevention and police were called... i was given a promise to appear and let on my way... this is my first offense and am freaking out... please tell me what i should do...

You have the right to have an attorney represent you in court. You also have the right to represent yourself and attempt to resolve the case on your own. It is your decision.
I agree with brother Miler, but don't screw around. Hire the best attorney you can and see if you can make this go away.
