Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
My 16 year old daughter was caught for Minor in Possession of alcohol last Sunday morning. The circumstances are odd. Cop went into a partying and only busted one person, my daughter. When her mom picked her up at the police station the officer just said she was charged but had no citation. He did not give anyone a copy of a citation. Is she really charged since we received no copy of a citation?? Or was he full of it? How do we find out if she is charged?
Thanks

You can call the clerk of court's office but there you run the risk of reminding the police to issue a citation. I would suggest that you hire an attorney to make inquiries about this.
