Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
16 year old shoplifted 4th degree theft
My daughter was caught along with two other 16 year old girls shoplifting. We were told they were being charged with 4th degree theft. We have not received anything from the court yet. This occured in Windsor Heights Iowa. If she fills out job apps can they see this on her record? If she includes this on her apps she feels they won't hire her.

She hasn't been convicted of anything yet. If she was not arrested you're home free-that is until she's convicted of something. As she is a juvenile in all likelihood her record will remain sealed.
