Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
i was arrested on a warrant for an misdameanor asssult which occured in 2009 posted bond went to an intial appearance and never recieved a court date its been nearly a yr since initial apperance a background check came back as it being an open case isnt this an untimely delay and how do i get it dismissed this occured in iowa

You may want to verify with the Clerk of Court that there isn't a warrant out for your arrest for failure to appear at a court date. If there isn't a warrant, then you should call an attorney that is local to your case and have them see about a dismissal.
