Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
i was arrested about 4-5 years ago for theft. when i was about to go in front of the judge they gave me a paper that i signed stating that i wanted a court appointed attorney present, but when i got in front of the judge i had no representation so being my first time being arrested, i pleaded guilty for 2 counts in the fifth with out legal aide and not knowing what i was doing. i was wondering if i can get that expunged. please help

There's no provision for expungment of criminal records in Iowa except in very limited circumstances of possession of alcohol by a minor. The time for you to contest this is, of course, long past.
