Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
My boyfriend was arrested for Burglary in the 3rd degree. On the date of the burglary there is a chance that he was not in a stable state of mind. He has no prior criminal background with the exception of a DUI. He will be assigned a public attorney. I am just asking so I can help my boyfriend and give him as much information to help as possible. Is there a possibility that if he was not in a stable state of mind that he could plead to a lesser charge?
