Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
i have been charged with possesion of marijuana and drug paraphanelia and because of my financial hardship i was granted a public defender. i have met with my public defender and i feel that she is more interested in lecturing me about my past lifestyle then worrying about my case and don't feel like she can represent me as well as she should. is there anyway to ask for a different public defender or do i have stick with the one that i have.

You can request that the court appoint you a different attorney at your next hearing. Whether you get another attorney or not is up to the court.
