Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
conflict of interest
Should it have been a disqualifying conflict of interest for the court appointed attorney for a man charged of sexual abuse of a minor to be the soccer coach of the minor's sister, who is also a minor? The sister also frequently visited the house where the alleged (actually the defendant is innocent) crime occurred.

Re: conflict of interest
No. That is not a conflict of interest at all. Coaching the sister of the victim does notprovide any conflict in relationto the representation of the defendant if no facts related to the offense were related.
