Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
The cops had a search warrant and found a burnt piece of foil, a weed pipe with a little weed in it and other drug paraphernalia. They charged me with possession of meth, possession of Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. My boyfriend, mother, and brother also live here they can't prove that it's mine, but they are trying to get me to plee out to the meth charge and I say take it to jury what do you think

If the drugs or the paraphernalia or residue are in the common areas of the house and are accessible to you it is constructive possession. They don't have to prove actual ownership.
