Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
If there is a court order to do a drug or hair strand test on someone, can they refuse it and ask to speak with an attorney before giving the sample? If they refuse to give a sample, what would happen to them? And, would their baby be taken away from them if they refused?

If you're involved in a CINA action, which is what I think you're talking about, you can ask your attorney about it. If you refuse the department of human services will definitely horld that against you as will the juvenile court. Besides if you're clean who cares?
