You cannot be charged with the same offense, but under the doctrine of dual sovereignty, you can be charged with a violation of a state statute and a federal statute that arise out of the same criminal transaction and double jeopardy is not involved.

Generally it is double jeopardy, but you may be charged where Sovereignty changes.
