discharging on parol
my parol officer said that i have to pay him the 500 dollers that he charges for being on parol before i can discharge and will set in jail intill it is payed off even know i dischare 09/28/2008 i think it is the aministrative fee but please tell me if this is true because some say he is bluffing

That's really a question for the department of corrections to answer but it sounds to me as if they're taking a hard line because it's the last best chance to get the fees out of you. Whether it's deserved is problematical.
The Iowa Administrative Code section 205-13(1) says the Board shall discharge a person when the term of sentence expires. That's compulsory language.
I think you need to get yourself an attorney.
