Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
I got a disorderly conduct charges filed against me and had to pay a $320.00 bond to stay out of jail. The receipt I got from the officer that night said I was to appear in court on 8/8/09 and that is what the online court records say but that is a saturday morning, I believe this is an error, if I show up that morning can I ask that the charges be dismissed since the court errored?

The answer to your question is, no. What would serve you better is to call the clerk of court and point out the error to them and get your hearing date rescheduled.
