Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
Drug arrest
My son was stopped for tinted windows. After being placed in police car, his car was searched and drugs and paraphanalia were found. I have been watching Gant vs. AZ case and feel my sons arrest, conviction, and sentencing of 20yrs. may fall under the same circumstances. Where do I go or look to find out if this may be the case?

Re: Drug arrest
If he has already been convicted, there may be an issue preservation and/or ineffective assistance of counsel analysis in his case which will need to be examined. You should immediately consult with an attorney as there are time deadlines for filing these claims.
