in the state of iowa how long does a misdemeter stay on your record.

Convictions in Iowa will remain on your record indefinitely. If they were juvenile records they are sealed and if the case was subject to a deferred judgment access to such records is severely limited. There is also the possibility of a pardon from the governor's office although it is remote.
