Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

My fiance and I got into a fight last Saturday. Neither of us hit each other. There was alot of screaming and yelling and we pushed each other a couple times, which we are both guilty of and know was wrong, but the cops got calleds and he was arrested for domestic abuse and violence. I was just as guilty as him but they only charged him. When I tried talking to the assistant county attorney she refuses to drop the charges and wont let me drop the protective order unles i agree to testify against him. I wont do that. I am going back in to talk to her again monday and then have requested a hearing with a judge wensday and am going to submit a written and notorized request to have the chrges dropped and my own statement about what happened that night and i will have that notorized to. Im going to giver her a copy as well aas the judge. But i need to know what else i can do
