Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

My Fiance was ina vehicle parked in a parking lot because he was using his cell phone, the police pulled in and said they were doing a welfare check, the vehicle was fine fianc� was fine but they then detained him for over 45 min to call an officer from another county to come search the vehicle, drugs were found, all of it being put on fianc� because they couldn't find the driver of vehicle, he has been held since Dec 22 and now it is a federal case, There are so many contradictions in the paper work, I have all paperwork and info from previous lawyer, I need help to know what I can do, Kids and I are wanting to get him home! Thank you for any assistance

Realistically there is nothing you can do that his attorney cannot do better. Your attorney should have filed a motion to suppress evidence. If that was not granted you start preparing for trial.
