Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

How to find a lawyer that will sue a lawyer

I live in Colorado my action is in Iowa. I had several lawyers explained that I have a good case but they're not interested in taking on a lawsuit against another attorney. My question is how can I find a lawyer in Iowa to take a action against another attorney. The attorney was representing my mother's estate and she prepared and notarized several documents that she benefited financially from. The attorney's notary license was revoked and surrendered. she has since moved to another state and quit her job. The attorney's office she was working has refused to give any of the beneficiaries a forwarding address or any contact information. Thanks Dan

Go to the Iowa State Bar Association web site; just Google it. You can search for an attorney by area of practice there (legal malpractice is what you want).

Good luck.

It's problematic. In any litigation where the prospects of a successful outcome are marginal you'll find difficulty hiring counsel on a contingency basis. If you're willing to fund the litigation it might be different. I assume that your cause is attorney malpractice and you also want to proceed against the insurance company.

Have you filed a complaint with the attorney disciplinary authorities?

You can find the attorney's address on the Iowa Supreme Court website.
